DICV signs MoU with IIM Calcutta Innovation Park for incubation programme with high social impact

The initiative will accelerate 10 social enterprises working on technology-led, scalable, and sustainable solutions essential for India’s socio-economic growth

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) and IIM Calcutta Innovation Park (IIMCIP) have introduced the ‘DICV–IIMCIP Social Impact Incubation Programme’, supported through DICV’s CSR funding. The initiative aims to accelerate 10 high-potential social enterprises that are building technology-led, scalable, and sustainable solutions vital to India’s socio-economic progress, aligning directly with the Viksit Bharat vision and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the company stated.

The programme will target sectors central to India’s development and technology transformation, such as Sustainability, Green Mobility, Community Development, and Women Empowerment, the release added.

It features a structured incubation pathway with substantial financial assistance. In the first phase, 10 promising enterprises will receive a ₹1 lakh Fellowship Grant each. The five most outstanding ventures will move to the next stage, where they can access Implementation Grants of up to ₹20 lakh per enterprise, in addition to deep mentoring support and access to key networks.
