Bobo Calcutta’s latest couture line tells intimate tales of love, waiting to be discovered.

Designer Ayushman Mitra — popularly known as Bobo — of Bobo Calcutta, celebrated for his bold, gender-neutral creations, unveiled his latest couture line, Dawn of Bloom. The collection was showcased for buyers at Kolkata’s luxury multi-designer store Bombaim on August 24 and 25.
Describing the essence of the line, Ayushman said it is meant to “remind people that there is enough joy in life.” True to his distinctive style, the collection features striking, statement-making designs, combining digital prints on fabrics like Habutai silk with intricate embroidery and beadwork. Dawn of Bloom offers an array of silhouettes, including long jackets, trench coats, lehenga sets, cape jackets, kaftans, sherwanis and more.
Reflecting on the inspiration behind the collection, Ayushman shared, “Love carries many meanings. I see myself as both the flower and the thorn — and I’ve learned to embrace both sides. At 34, I’ve realised the importance of finding balance between the two.”
