Introducing Ankita Lath, the newest designer making waves

City-based designer Ankita Lath has unveiled her debut collection, Atoor, a line that pays homage to the magnificence of Mughal architecture. The name Atoor, meaning architectural structures in Urdu, draws inspiration from the intricate designs and detailing found in India’s historic palaces and forts.
Elegant and understated with warm, earthy tones, this Indo-fusion contemporary range features natural, breathable fabrics such as linen and khadi. For the detailing, the vibrant designer—known for her love of graphics and prints—has incorporated the Japanese embroidery style Sashiko, which uses continuous small stitches. She enhances it further with her signature heavy dori work, adding depth and refinement to each piece.
