Metro Railway has introduced a key timetable revision for the Green Line starting this Saturday, shifting the first train from Salt Lake Sector V to Howrah Maidan to depart seven minutes earlier.

Starting November 1, Kolkata Metro will commence its Saturday operations earlier on the Green Line (East-West Corridor), with the first train from Salt Lake Sector V to Howrah Maidan now set to depart at 6:32 am, instead of the previous 6:39 am.

In a statement issued on October 31, the Metro authority announced, “Beginning 01.11.2025 (Saturday), Metro Railway will run 186 services (93 UP & 93 DN) instead of 226 services on the Green Line.”

Although the total number of trains will decrease, commuters will benefit from an earlier start—especially those travelling to central Kolkata or Howrah for early shifts or to catch long-distance trains.

According to the updated timetable, the first train from Howrah Maidan to Salt Lake Sector V will still depart at 6:30 am, while the first train in the opposite direction will now leave at 6:32 am.

The final services remain unchanged: 9:45 pm from Howrah Maidan and 9:47 pm from Salt Lake Sector V.
